Impulse iQ™ at Powell Chiropractic Clinic, Inc.
At Powell Chiropractic Clinic, Inc., we always seek to offer the latest chiropractic technology for the benefit of our patients. One of the ways we’re doing that is by providing care with the revolutionary Impulse iQ.
What Are Some Benefits?
Here are some key benefits that you can expect with the Impulse iQ:
- Accurate: The handheld tool delivers a precise pressure to the misaligned joint to restore range of motion.
- Comfortable: Impulse iQ features three different force settings for various parts of the body and to treat people of all ages. Thanks to the instrument’s controlled low force thrust, adjustments are comfortable.
- Extremely fast: It’s twice as fast as some other adjusting instruments, and 100 times faster than manual adjustments!
- Safe and effective: Impulse iQ can be safely used on the vertebrae and extremity joints. Our chiropractors will determine which joints need to be adjusted and set the instrument for the correct force. This approach is highly gentle and safe, and appropriate for patients of all ages.
Here are some of the conditions that the Impulse iQ can successfully address:
- Arthritis
- Auto accident injuries
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Foot pain
- Leg pain
- Numbness/tingling in the hands
- Pinched nerves
- Plantar fasciitis
- Sciatica
- Shoulder pain
- Sports injuries
- Whiplash
The instrument is placed on a vertebral segment. Your chiropractor will trigger the device and then it gives a thrust and that particular segment goes into motion. The Impulse iQ doesn’t thrust again until that segment is already headed in the right direction. It continues to do so until the vibration or the flexibility of that joint has been changed from the previous analysis.
As soon as that segment is freed the instrument shuts itself off and the adjustment has been performed.
What makes this method particularly unique?
What’s unique about the Impulse iQ is the instrument never leaves contact with the spinal segment that it’s analyzing. Therefore, the motion of the body is not disrupted. When the bone moves the instrument won’t thrust until the bone moves back in the appropriate direction.
What does an adjustment with the Impulse feel like?
You’ll feel a light tapping but it’s very comfortable.
How long does an adjustment with this method take?
Again, because it’s very fast it only takes a few seconds to deliver an accurate and effective adjustment.
How soon after the adjustment can I expect to feel better?
The majority of patients notice a decrease in pain and an improvement in their range of motion after the first few sessions.
Are there any side effects?
The most common side effect is soreness but that dissipates within 24 hours.
