Do you have any questions that aren’t answered here? Contact us today and let us answer all of your questions.
How long will it take to get better?
Every patient is different. Your chiropractor will regularly assess your progress.
We do not charge for our consultation, but exams and x-rays are commonly needed to better understand how we can help and to properly diagnose your condition. The cost for exams, x-rays, and any treatment vary for each person and case. If we accept you as a patient, our staff will discuss all costs and review your insurance benefits so you can get the care you need.
Most insurance companies cover many of the services we offer. Keep in mind that each insurance plan is unique. We will verify the extent of your coverage and explain the cost to you personally before we begin care. We also encourage patients to contact the insurance company directly to verify benefits so you can better understand your insurance coverage. Our staff would be happy to help with any questions you may have.
Yes, children are subject to similar problems as adults. Our chiropractors are specially trained and certified to adjust infants and children, and we also have instrument methods of caring for children and infants that are safe and effective.
How can you help pregnant women?
It is common for women who are pregnant to suffer from new symptoms such as back pain, headaches, or even numbness/tingling into the legs or feet. Pregnancy puts new stresses and demands on the female body. Mothers often are looking for relief without having to use drugs or other potentially harmful methods. Chiropractors work with the body naturally to help promote health for mom and baby along with helping to relieve stresses and strains commonly experienced during pregnancy.
What problems don’t you accept?
From the consultation and examination it will then be determined if our methods of care would be of benefit to you. If not, we have worked closely with many specialists in our area for a referral for the appropriate care.
If I feel better, why should I keep going to the chiropractor?
You are feeling and functioning better—that’s great! Whether you decide to continue care or not is your decision. Your body, like your car, benefits from regular check-ups and maintenance. After your symptoms are reduced or relieved, regular care every few weeks or multiple times during the year can prevent future injuries and dysfunctions, helping you stay healthy and reducing pain!
What is the difference from Regular and Preventative Care?
Regular care is seeking relief and correction of a specific health problem. Preventative or Wellness care at Powell Chiropractic encourages patients to proactively and intentionally follow better health habits. These health habits help patients stay healthy and avoid many self inflicted health problems affecting so many today, like obesity, cardiovascular issues, degenerative joint disease and diabetes.
